Amalia y el Misterio del Lavadero is a shadow and object theatre piece designed for audiences of all ages. The scenes and atmospheres are crafted live by hand, unfolding before the audience’s eyes like a canvas in constant motion and transformation.
Amalia, a twelve-year-old girl living in a small village in the province of Segovia, shares the road worker’s house with her family. On this particular day, she must go down to the village washhouse to do the laundry. Yet her routine will be disrupted: her grandmother cannot accompany her, and Amalia must make the journey alone. What begins as an ordinary task soon turns into an unexpected adventure, marked by the mystery awaiting her on the path to the washhouse.
